Glór! The choir of St John’s Church, Chorlton-cum-Hardy

There are still some tickets available for tonight's concert (23rd June), so there will be tickets available on the door.

See News and Events for further details.

Welcome to Glór!

We are the choir of St John’s Church, Chorlton. Established in 2008 by Aine Fee, as a community singing group, with an emphasis on learning and performing traditional Irish music, as a social activity for people who were for the most part, new to choral music. The group quickly developed into a fairly informal, mixed voice choir with an ever expanding range and repertoire.

Under the Direction of Katharine Longworth, the choir has become an important feature of Parish and Community life in Chorlton. We perform traditional sacred music for church services and a wide range of secular music from pop classics to Broadway greats for concerts and community events. Each summer, we assemble a full chorus and orchestra to perform major works in St John's church.
